Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel via site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify IDs and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue/retrieve badges per site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and security concerns in a calm, solution-focused manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior/exterior areas and perimeter access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities and incidents through required reports and logs.

As a Security Officer Credential Enrollment in Kutztown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, managing badge activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $18.20 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Alarm Panel Experience (B202) Candidates must possess experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm protocols, troubleshooting, and responding to alarm events.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates should be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes familiarity with software applications, data entry, and basic troubleshooting.

• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates must have a background in customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and customers.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue or retrieve access badges in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, access‑control issues, incidents, and unusual observations through required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
