As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and help maintain an orderly environment. You will use computer and badge systems, respond to access-related concerns, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with site personnel. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access credentials.

• Alarm Panel Experience (B202):Candidates must demonstrate experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm protocols, troubleshooting, and responding to alerts.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing digital communication tools.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):A strong background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.

• Loss Prevention (B210):Candidates should have experience or knowledge in loss prevention strategies. This includes understanding theft prevention techniques and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery appointments before allowing access in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, issue and recover access credentials, and report access discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established security‑related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
