Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Intake in West Jordan, UT. The role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn more by picking up extra shifts.

Pay rate is $20 per hour and the schedule includes a night shift Thursday from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM. You will support warehouse personnel, drivers, and visitors, screen credentials, manage access, and respond calmly to incidents.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to warehouse personnel, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers entering the distribution location; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points, inbound and outbound traffic, and designated screening areas to help deter unauthorized entry and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse facility, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter, with working conditions varying throughout the location.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
