Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Riverside, CA. The role offers reliable, consistent hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform and grow toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with weekend night shifts in a fixed anchor schedule. You will provide security services, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining client site procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screening required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while enforcing site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain entry records.
• Control access to loading areas and restricted locations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, perimeter, and parking areas.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat - 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun - 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Control access to loading areas, trailer yards, package handling areas, and other restricted locations in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and access points; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
