Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer - Corporate Building in Tempe, AZ. You will protect client property, perform routine and random patrols, and deliver professional customer service to tenants and visitors.

This full-time, unarmed role pays $20.60 per hour and follows a 1:00 PM–9:00 PM schedule. You must have at least 6 months of security experience, be able to ride a bike, and pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer - Corporate Building in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol corporate property areas by bicycle, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication, routine patrols, and responsive customer service. Job Schedule

• Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Fri: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sat: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
