Job summary

Allied Universal in Beech Island, SC is seeking a Security Officer for Controlled Entry at a healthcare location. You will manage visitor access, issue and monitor badges, and maintain accurate access records while delivering exceptional customer service and remaining visible to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry points and verify authorized access to healthcare facilities, restricted areas, and other designated locations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records and provide directions or assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Beech Island, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, issuing and monitoring badges, and maintaining accurate access records. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
