Allied Universal in Port Saint Lucie, FL seeks a Security Officer Contract Screening to monitor access, operate screening equipment, and enforce site procedures with professionalism. You will provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and drivers while reporting security concerns.

This full-time role offers daytime shifts and a pay rate of $16.27 per hour. A guard card and high school diploma are required, with background checks and drug screening as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and associates by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site procedures, including verifying IDs and controlling access.
• Monitor entry/exit points, loading areas, and other locations for unusual activity and report observations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site protocols, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of facility, perimeter, parking, and loading zones to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Contract Screening in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by operating X-ray screening equipment, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help identify and report security-related concerns while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, which may include verifying identification, checking credentials, and controlling access to designated areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, loading areas, and/or other assigned locations for unusual activity, unauthorized access, or policy violations, and report observations promptly.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
