Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Security Screening in Miami, FL. You will screen visitors, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment at a government location.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Minimum one year of armed security experience.
• College degree is required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is expected.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen.

• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry and direct appropriately.

As a Screener in a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, verifying access credentials, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with the public and site personnel. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting smooth daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, employees, deliveries, and property in accordance with established access-control procedures and applicable site requirements.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, directing individuals to appropriate check-in or screening areas as needed.
• Monitor assigned entry points and screening equipment, helping to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
