Allied Universal in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Part Time Security Officer - Property Protection to protect a manufacturing/industrial site. You will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor entry points while delivering professional customer service and remaining visible to deter security incidents.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, background check, and adherence to safety and site policies.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with policy.
• Background investigation will be conducted as part of employment.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

What You\'ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.


• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.


• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and materials in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.


• A valid driver’s licence is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s licence will be required for driving positions only.
