Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for a college in Roxbury Crossing, MA. The shift is Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a starting pay of $24.00 per hour, plus paid orientation and training.

You will provide customer service, patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to support a welcoming campus environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), CPR/First Aid preferred, and a background

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law and company policy.
• A drug screen may be required prior to employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify campus contacts or emergency responders as needed.

• Monitor access points and report any suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs accurately and timely.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
