Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Danbury, CT. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with the potential to pick up additional shifts. You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain strict site access controls at a naval power systems location.

The position pays $30.00 per hour with a fixed schedule on Saturdays and opportunities for growth through our scheduling platform and paid training programs.

Qualifications

• Valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification preferred.
• State/city-issued security license preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Cleared Armed Patrol in Danbury, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a naval power systems location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while handling assigned equipment in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
