Job summary

Allied Universal in Clifton, NJ is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable, flexible security coverage at an assigned site. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on experience with industry leaders.

You’ll perform armed patrols, manage access, and respond to incidents, while abiding by site procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or utility customers while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, treatment areas, pump stations, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as assigned, and maintain awareness of authorized personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors entering restricted operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs, including patrol findings, access‑related events, incidents, and maintenance or infrastructure concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Armed Patrol Driver in Clifton, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
