Allied Universal in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Clearance Required) to protect clients across Aero/Defense sectors. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor premises, deter threats, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site protocols to support controlled entry to sensitive areas.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, helping support controlled entry to areas that may contain sensitive business, billing, or defense-related information.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
