Job Title: Security/Caretaker

(37 hours per week/52 weeks per year) 38 days paid holiday per year. Membership of the LGPS Pension Scheme.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable security/caretaker to join the current team within the Facilities Department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain security across college premises and respond to security issues promptly.
• Report incidents and security concerns in line with college procedures.
• Assist with caretaking duties as required, including manual handling of large items.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience and vocational competence in a security or similar role.
• Front-line SIA qualification.
• Valid full UK manual transmission driving licence.
• Ability to manually handle large items.
• Respond efficiently to urgent security and caretaking matters.
• Meet safeguarding targets once trained.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in service quality.
• Flexible approach to work, including possible additional hours and overtime.
