Allied Universal in West Chester, PA is seeking a Security Officer – Campus Screening Specialist. You will safeguard clients by screening entrants, monitoring entrances, and providing a welcoming presence to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service.

This full-time role is based on a campus setting. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and possible licensing.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As part of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to individuals entering the location by screening according to site policies.
• Monitor entrances and exits to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly following established protocols.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and students as appropriate.
• Maintain records and logs of screening activities and incidents per site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to individuals entering the location by carrying out security-related screening procedures according to site-specific policies.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or students as appropriate to the location.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of screening activities and incidents as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuations and other urgent situations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
