Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Credential Screening in Columbus, OH. You will monitor access points, screen visitors and belongings, and report security concerns to help maintain a safe campus environment for students, staff, and guests.

One year of security experience is preferred, with eligibility for unarmed or armed roles based on state requirements. The role is full-time with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour and a schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• A background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen may be required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

What You'll Do

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
