Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Beaumont, TX to provide reliable access control, incident response, and customer service at a chemical and petrochemical site. The position offers a 16.00 USD hourly rate, part-time hours, and potential to scale to up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Verify credentials and authorize entry according to established procedures.
• Monitor access points, vehicle entry/exit, and alarm or communications systems; report irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and perimeter locations.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.


• Verify credentials, authorize entry in accordance with established procedures, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct individuals to appropriate check‑in locations.


• Monitor access points, vehicle entry and exit activity, and alarm or communications systems; report irregular conditions and access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and documenting relevant details.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.


• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.


• A TSA‑issued TWIC is required.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
