This position requires a NYS Security Guard License and at least 1 year of security experience. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred, with a focus on customer service and safety at a financial institution.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Part Timein New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.77 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeWed08:45 AM - 05:15 PMThur08:45 AM - 05:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the banking location, including exterior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by reporting maintenance, security‑related, and customer service concerns to site leadership or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
