Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate site locations.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gate areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access activity, unusual conditions, and incidents requiring follow-up.

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site access, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor entry points, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
