Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Asset Protection to serve clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. You will monitor access, patrol facilities, deter incidents, and support loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers a flexible weekend-evening schedule (Sat 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sun 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) with opportunities for training and advancement and access to Allied Universal benefits.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations involving technology, media, and telecommunications operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access activity and report unusual conditions, incidents, and maintenance concerns according to site‑specific procedures.

As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and assist with loss prevention activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access activity and report unusual conditions, incidents, and maintenance concerns according to site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
