Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency responses.
• Screen shipments, packages, freight, and personal belongings per procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations for appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter.

As a Security Officer Full Time Asset Protection Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by conducting screening activities, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help identify and report security-related concerns while contributing to smooth daily operations. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen shipments, packages, freight, and personal belongings in accordance with applicable procedures and site requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
