Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, X Ray Console Screening) in Indianapolis, IN. You will support screening, access control, and guest service at a logistics and distribution site, with flexible shifts that allow you to claim additional hours.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related screening procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and permitted items in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures; report prohibited or suspicious items and activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials before permitting entry to controlled areas, and maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
