As a Patrol Armed Officer you will monitor and patrol designated shelter locations, help deter security‑related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with individuals on‑site, deliver exceptional customer service, and support a welcoming environment, reflecting our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tuesday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Thursday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards, reporting observations as required by site protocols.
• Interact professionally with all individuals at the location, including visitors and staff, while maintaining a visible presence.
• Assist with access control and verify the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as directed by site policies.
• Support emergency response efforts and communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and local authorities as situations arise.

Minimum Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Must have at least 3 years of either military, law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Must pass a Physical Fitness exam (1 mile run 12 minutes, 22 sit‑ups, 12 push‑ups).
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
