Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Portal Screening Security Officer in Boynton Beach, FL. You will manage access control, monitor entry points, and patrol properties to deter security incidents while delivering strong customer service to residents and staff.

The role is full-time with shifts including evenings; candidates must meet licensing requirements and pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military or criminal justice experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed positions.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Portal Screeningin Boynton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will manage access control, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. Pay Rate: $27.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points to a residential property, verify authorization for entry, and document visitor, vendor, and/or contractor activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, common spaces, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records while communicating professionally with property management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or criminal justice degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Hold CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
