Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Part Time in Ashburn, VA. In this role you will conduct regular armed patrols, monitor entrances, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence.

The position requires an Armed Guard Card or License, and CPR certification is preferred. Part-time schedule: DayTime 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM on Mon and Wed, with opportunities to participate in shift-based roles

As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Part Time in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. This armed role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers an opportunity to deliver through teamwork while acting with integrity in a caring, reliable culture.

Pay Rate: $26.62 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help maintain an orderly environment, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
