Job summary

Allied Universal in Independence, MO seeks a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver with a DoD Secret Clearance. You will monitor and patrol manufacturing locations, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional customer service.

This full-time role requires 3+ years of security experience, an Armed Guard Card, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens. Schedule: Mon–Fri, $28.37/hr.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout manufacturing areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitor and contractor activity.
• Maintain awareness of operations and report hazards to site personnel.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain awareness of industrial operations, identify and report potential hazards or unusual conditions, and communicate observations to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
