Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Response in Houston, TX. You will perform armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform, a starting pay of $18.40 per hour, and a path to career growth through our training and perks program.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience as military police, corrections officer, or armed security-related professional.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by policy and law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry; assist with directing visitors and reporting access-related irregularities.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and other events.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry as required by site procedures; assist with directing visitors and reporting access-related irregularities.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed security-related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
