Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related experience.

• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will respond to security-related concerns while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

• Mon 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Tue 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation protocols.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized personnel and vehicles, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Maintain required reports and records, including patrol observations, incidents, and equipment concerns, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
