Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates while following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols in retail areas, parking lots, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Maintain armed equipment in compliance with laws and Allied Universal policies.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain authorized armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
