Qualifications

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience.

• At least 5 years of security-related experience.
• At least 4 years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, substations, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, problem-solving mindset, coordinating with site contacts and responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Enhanced Part Time in Little Rock, AR, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, substations, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 4 years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
