Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver for a full-time role in San Jose, CA. The position involves patrolling transit facilities, maintaining a visible security presence, and responding to incidents with professional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation facilities and transit locations.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, medical emergencies, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, vehicle yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and assigned areas for unauthorized entry, prohibited items, or unusual conditions; document observations and complete required reports.
• Maintain required qualifications for armed assignments and handle all assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.li>
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
