You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals in custody by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of correctional facility grounds, buildings, perimeter areas, access points, and adjacent property as assigned.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate facility personnel and law enforcement when required.
• Maintain assigned equipment, including authorized firearms and communications devices, and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
