Job summary

Allied Universal in Donna, TX is seeking a Part Time Armed Patrol Driver to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and adjacent areas. The role involves patrols, customer service, and a visible security presence to deter incidents. A valid armed license and driver’s license are required; shifts are Fri-Sun 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency services and notifying site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, assist with access control and delivery procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, applicable laws, and training standards, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.

What You'll Do

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
