Job summary

Allied Universal in Clinton, NC is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver for a full-time role that provides a visible security presence, conducts armed patrols, and responds to incidents while delivering professional customer service to staff and visitors.

You will work in a government corrections environment, follow post orders, and meet licensing and background checks requirements. A valid driver’s license and armed credentials are essential.

• Perform armed patrols and monitor access to restricted areas per post orders.
• Respond calmly to incidents and document/report as required.
• Maintain professionalism and secrecy in security procedures.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas; working conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel while helping to deter unauthorized activity.

In this driving post, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
