Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor management and direction to support a secure environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions in clear reports and communicate with supervisors and facility personnel.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as assigned, and assist with visitor management and direction to support an orderly healthcare environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in clear and accurate reports; communicate relevant information to supervisors, facility personnel, and responding agencies as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess an armed guard card or license preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
