Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for an access patrol role at a financial institution location in Spartanburg, SC. You will provide visible security, customer service, and adherence to site procedures during evening shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of armed security or related experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Pepper spray certification is preferred, and a background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access protocols.

• Conduct regular armed patrols of interior and exterior areas including perimeters and access points.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Prepare clear reports on patrol observations and incidents.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Fri: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Sat: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Sun: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and restricted-access locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports related to patrol observations, incidents, access concerns, and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
