As a Security Officer Armed Patrol, you will perform customer service, conduct regular armed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and prepare detailed reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Concealed carry permit required.
• CPO certification required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unusual activity and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation of patrols and incidents.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Sioux Falls, SD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other assigned security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess CPO certification.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
