Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol in Gulfport, MS. You will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Shifts include Tue 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, Wed 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, Sun 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following site procedures and laws.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle issued equipment per policy and regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, client procedures, and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
