Allied Universal® in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol. This role offers flexible, anchor-shift hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts and advance toward a full-time schedule.

You will provide customer service at a financial institution, conduct armed patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and help maintain a secure environment while adhering to site policies and training.

Qualifications

• Concealed carry weapons permit required.
• At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site‑specific procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Dorchester, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
