Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Officer for a part-time role in Albuquerque, NM. You will patrol facilities, deter incidents, and respond professionally to security concerns, providing excellent customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and county personnel.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and county personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government and healthcare locations.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, medical emergencies, and disturbances in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain awareness of visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related incidents.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and public service personnel as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
