Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Atlanta, GA to patrol government locations, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will prepare clear daily reports, respond to incidents, and work with a team using smart tools to claim shifts and grow your career. At least 1 year armed security experience and an Armed Guard Card are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to identify hazards and report violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner per procedures and with emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to protect government areas, personnel, records, and property.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and interactions for site contacts and leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon - 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Thur - 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, helping to protect restricted government areas, personnel, records, and property.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
