Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required as per law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security procedures and emergency responses at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas, documenting observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with the orderly flow of authorized personnel and guests.
• Complete incident reports and logs accurately and promptly.

Job Schedule

• Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, assisting with the orderly flow of authorized personnel and guests.
• Complete required incident reports, daily activity logs and other site documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
