Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed - Parking Lot Patrol in San Antonio, TX to provide reliable, on-site security and responsive service for customers and employees. This part-time role offers fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for higher earnings and varied site experience.

You’ll perform armed patrols in retail and surrounding areas, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete incident reports in accordance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout retail areas, parking lots, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures for armed posts.

Job Description

Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Armed - Parking Lot Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$15.50 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.


• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
