Qualifications

• Armed positions require driver’s license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally, notifying leadership as needed.
• Conduct armed patrols across the retail grocery location including sales floors and entrances.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Carry assigned equipment in accordance with laws, policies, and client procedures.

As a Security Flex Guard - Armed Part Time Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and notifying site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail grocery location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Texas Level III Armed Guard Card is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
