Allied Universal, Raleigh-based security provider, seeks an Armed Patrol Officer to safeguard government facilities and others in daytime and weekend shifts. You will patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, and deliver professional customer service while adhering to policy and training requirements.

The role requires an armed guard card or license (preferred), age 21+, a high school diploma, and background checks. A valid driver’s license is needed for driving posts where applicable.

Job Description

Security Officer Armed Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or residents while carrying out site-specific procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting appropriate assistance and documenting actions taken.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including a firearm, in accordance with applicable laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
