Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Troy, NC. This full-time role requires patrolling facilities, responding to incidents, and providing high-quality customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

You must have a valid driver’s license; a firearms permit and armed guard license are preferred. The position includes a daytime schedule with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, perimeter areas, access points, parking areas, and assigned posts to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access and screen authorized entrants, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements; document and report unusual activity, hazards, and incidents.
• Maintain assigned equipment and complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Troy, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do
