Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC. This full-time role involves protecting government facilities, conducting armed patrols, and maintaining a strong security presence while delivering professional customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and contractors.

You will monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents in accordance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs; communicate observations and incidents to site leadership, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as required.

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This is a driving and armed post.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:
