Job summary

Responsibilities

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Mon: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and report unusual conditions, prohibited items, and/or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
