Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a Healthcare Site in Columbia, SC. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to contribute to patient and staff safety.

As an armed officer, you will patrol the healthcare site, deter incidents, respond to emergencies, and communicate with team members using Allied Universal tools.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience of at least one year.
• Armed guard card or license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with laws and site policies.
• Document observations and actions with clear, accurate reports to supervisors.

As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol a healthcare location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $18.78 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken through clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
