Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Richmond, VA for a part-time role. You will provide security, interact with clients and staff, and patrol assigned areas to deter incidents while maintaining a strong customer service focus.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license, armed guard credential, and the ability to work a schedule including evenings and weekends. Training and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments may vary by client site.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
